FlyBound has established a collaboration with AV8 Testing & Training, an organisation specialising in Aviation English and ICAO Language Proficiency testing.
This collaboration strengthens the support available to students and pilots following our international training pathways, particularly in one of the essential skills needed for a professional career in aviation: effective communication in English.
The Role of English in Pilot Training
At FlyBound, we assess candidates’ ability to communicate in English before they begin their training. The aim is to determine whether they have a suitable language foundation to learn and communicate effectively in an international flight training environment.
This initial assessment is not equivalent to an official ICAO Language Proficiency test.
Our collaboration with AV8 complements this process by providing access to specialised Aviation English preparation and language proficiency testing services, according to each pilot’s individual needs and applicable requirements.
Supporting Both FlyBound Cadet and EuroBound Pilots
The FlyBound Cadet Program provides structured international training pathways for individuals aiming to become professional pilots.
EuroBound is designed for pilots who already have flight training experience or hold existing licences and wish to explore their pathway towards EASA qualifications.
In both cases, access to specialised Aviation English support can be valuable at different stages of training and professional development.
AV8 Testing & Training has also published an interview with FlyBound, exploring our approach to international pilot training and how we coordinate pathways that bring together FAA and EASA training.
