On May 14, 2026, FlyBound took part in the “How to Become an Airline Pilot” information session held at the School of Engineering of the University of Cádiz and organized together with EUROAVIA Cádiz. The session was aimed at university students interested in learning more about the different pathways to begin a professional career as a pilot. The University of Cádiz officially announced the event to the university community.
Commercial Pilot Training and Career Path
During the session, Elías Fernández, Director of FlyBound, explained some of the main aspects prospective pilots should understand when considering a professional pilot career, including the different stages of training, the licenses required, the available training pathways, and the importance of planning the entire process from the beginning.
One of the aims of the session was to help students better understand the reality of commercial pilot training, particularly those who may be interested in aviation but are not yet familiar with the pathway from their first flight lessons to obtaining the qualifications required for a professional pilot career.
FlyBound works with an international pathway combining FAA flight training in the United States and EASA training in Europe, allowing students to benefit from the advantages of both training systems.
Helping Students Explore a Professional Pilot Career
This type of event is part of FlyBound’s commitment to helping future pilots understand their options, requirements, timelines, and training opportunities before making such an important decision about their professional future.
Participation in university events also gives students the opportunity to speak directly with aviation professionals and learn more about the different routes available to become a professional pilot.
More information about the event is available through the University of Cádiz.
